The long story I mentioned: we dissasembled an ebow and sammy made a holder to fit sideways over my finger (I had been palming it for rehearsals). This way I could get a sustainy pedal steel equivalent sound out of the Dobro for Beige and Housewife's Prayer. Part of the show's concept was to sound the same around a campfire as onstage so I couldn't use my Pedal Steel or effects pedals to get the sound.

I disassemble one of my stage keyboards to replace the wooden keys...it's sad, I know...but real piano's are just too much maintenance to keep in tune for a tour.
